
MELBOURNE, Fla. The Odessa College men's golf team shot the low score of the final round Tuesday to move up to second place at the NJCAA Division I National Preview at Duran Golf Club.
The Wranglers (295-299-287—881) made up 10 strokes in the final round to move ahead of WJCAC rival New Mexico Junior College (296-296-297—889). Eastern Florida State College (294-279-296—869) won the team title by 12 strokes. Odessa College was the only team to break par for the round.
Tripp Wallace (73-71-74—218) tied for fourth to lead the Wranglers, while Marcus Wochner (75-76-70—221) tied for 10th after moving up from 21st. Blake Brothers (71-78-74—223) and Bryce Waters (79-75-69—223) were part of a four-way tie for 14th and Vojtech Kostelka (76-77-75—228) tied for 24th.
