The Odessa College softball team won two of its first three games to open the season this weekend at the Galveston Invitational.
The Lady Wranglers split two games Friday, besting host Galveston College 5-4 before falling to Blinn College 6-5 later in the day.
On Saturday, Odessa College beat Lamar State College-Port Arthur 5-3.
Former Odessa High standout Elva Castillo blasted a home run in her Lady Wranglers' debut against Galveston College.
Pitcher Brittany Kennett moved to 2-0 in the circle, starting in the team's two wins.
Two other scheduled Saturday games were canceled.
