SEASON OUTLOOK

The Odessa College women’s basketball team enters the 2009-2010 season with a clear mission:  To build on the late season success of the 2008-2009 season and continue to make progress toward competing on a championship level.  The 2008-2009 campaign saw the Lady Wranglers return to post-season play.  The Lady Wranglers used a late season surge to carry them all the way to the Region V tournament championship game.  The Lady Wranglers defeated nationally ranked conference rival Midland College on the way to the championship game.

An influx of new talent will be led by a determined group of returning sophomores looking to leave their mark on the tradition rich women’s basketball program.  The key to success this season will be how quickly the team blends its talents and finds the necessary chemistry to be successful.  The Lady Wranglers will be tested early with a very challenging non-conference schedule that includes some of the top programs in the country.
