Jeff Kelly begins his 20th year as head athletic trainer for all OC sports. Prior to coming to Odessa College, he served as the head trainer for Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas.
As head trainer for the sports programs, his duties include direct care of student-athletes, supervision of the student athletic trainers, management and administration of the athletic training room, and assisting the director in planning the student trainer’s clinical experiences. He is a Justin Sports Medicine Associate, UIL Regional Sports Medicine Director, and has provided athletic training services for the Odessa Jackalopes, Odessa’s Indoor Football Teams, as well as several area high school football teams. Jeff also teaches several classes in the Kinesiology Department.
He is currently a member of the Texas Society of Sports Medicine, Texas State Athletic Trainers Association, and the College Athletic Trainers Association.
OC’s trainer obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Abilene Christian University and completed his studies at Sul Ross State University earning a master’s degree in education. Jeff is married to Olga Kelly and they have two daughters, Ryan and Reagan Kelly
