Wrangler Ballpark will be the site of the 2025 NJCAA Region 5/Southwest District Championship May 15th through the 18th. 

The four-team double elimination tournament will feature a pair of teams from both the WJCAC and the NTJCAC. Odessa, Weatherford, New Mexico, and McLennan will play over four days for the automatic bid to the 2025 D1 Baseball World Series in Grand Junction, CO. 

These four-teams advanced to the Region 5/Southwest District Championship after winning their respective three game series.

The top seeds from both conferences advanced as Odessa hosted Cisco and won that series in three games (8-4, 3-10, 6-2) and Weatherford swept El Paso at home (12-6, 12-2). In the other two series both New Mexico and McLennan went on the road and swept their opponents. New Mexico defeated Grayson (10-2, 9-1) and McLennan defeated Midland (4-2, 3-2). 

The tournament is scheduled for two games per day and will get underway on Thursday at 11am when Weatherford will face New Mexico followed by Odessa taking on McLennan at approximately 2:00pm.
