Brown and Crouwel named WJCAC Softball Players of the Week

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Softball Players of the Week for the week of January 31 – February 6.

Marijn Crouwel of Odessa College is the WJCAC Softball Position Player of the Week.

The freshman catcher and infielder from Amsterdam, Netherlands had a .455 batting average for the week with a double, triple, RBI and a run scored. She also had 7 putouts, 6 assists and threw out 3 runners attempting to steal.

Aydenne Brown of Odessa College is the WJCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

The freshman righthander from Edmonton, Alberta went 1-0 last week. In 11 innings pitched, she allowed only 2 earned runs on 6 hits with 20 strikeouts and 5 walks.

This is the second weekend in a row that Brown was name Pitcher of the Week.
